The best thing is exercise, but if after several months of losing weight
and exercising doesn't seem to work then I would recommend cosmetic surgery
of excess skin removal. I have had 2 friends that went through Gastric
Bypass that had to have the cosmetic surgery for the excess skin. I hope
w/time patience and perserverence the exercise will work for you. Good
Luck!

I'm still trying to find the right shapewear for me. I think I've
purchased and returned at least 6 sets. I've found one bottom that I like
@ Walmart (It was the last one in the store)I haven't been able to find
another. I'm going to sears tonight to see if I can find Dr. Rey's. I know
target sells a cheaper version of Spanx called Assets, alot of people rave
about it. I think it's just a matter of trial and error. Good Luck

After losing 134 lbs.....I had a lot of loose saggy skin in my abdomen
area....even at a size 2. No amt of exercise would have taken that away.
What I found to be the best for support and shaping was the one piece
flexee garment....sort of looks like a bathing suit. It smoothed out the
loose skin and gave me a nice shape. Yes...it can get hot in the
summer.....but I got used to it....and it was worth it to me.....it totally
hid my excess skin. I wore them before my surgery and then after my
surgery for 11 yrs. Finally in July I had a tummy tuck. After about 15 yrs
of wearing those flexees....it is liberating. But they worked so well at
hiding what I didn't want the world to see...that eveyone felt I was insane
for having a tummy tuck. Even after telling them he removed 7 lbs of loose
skin from my abdomen.
As for the Spanx....I tried the flexees version of Spanx...it went up to
just under the breast area (I needed it to control the "muffin"
top).....but I hated it. It would roll down at the top and was never
comfortable....I felt I continuously had to keep pulling it up. I think
you really need to eval where your problem areas are....to determine what
product is right for you. Spanx does make one that will attach to your bra
so it will keep it from rolling down....but I haven't tried that. I have
seen Spanx at Nordstrom Rack for a lot less then you can buy in the stores.
TJ Maxx and Marshalls also have a nice selection of shape wear for a lot
less too. And always check the sales racks at the dept. stores.....when
they get a new line of shapewear in....they really reduce the old line to
get rid of them. You might want to try there. Good luck w/ your search
and your continued progress.

I have a friend that swears by Dr Reyes and she's lost 150 pounds. I have
tried Assets and some other brand but just can't get used to the
"restricted" feeling. Of course, that is their only job is to
restrict you so I don't know what I'm expecting. I've lost 81 pounds and
have another 55 or so to go and the belly isn't too jelly yet but I'm sure
it will be. (I never had a baby so that's helping) I will probably be
looking at these things again. I say go for it but try the cheaper ones
first to see if you can stand to wear them at all.
Good luck to you!

I LOVE spanx "all the way" style. They start at your bra line
and go down to your mid-calf. They smooth out all the lumps and bumps - I
get mine at Lane Bryant and they are $28. If I am really careful a pair
can last me a month, and you can still wear them if they develop runs.
(I've learned!) The Assets brand just don't work for me - they aren't as
heavy duty.
