Question:
I am concerned
Well it's nearly a full 2 momths back in the gym and things are coming along rather nicely....Along the way however I have become sort in my tummy/abs. I'm use to being sort after a great workout but I'm nearly 11 months post-op (05/09/05) and I have lost 150 pound. From 375 to 223 - 226....(bragging I know) anyways - Could the soreness in my tummy be the muscles starting to tighten or have I actuall pulled something I shouldn't have. I do not feel any knots or lumps so I doubt I have a hernia at lease not one that I can tel yet. Any advise? Robert [email protected] — RobertMiller (posted on March 30, 2006)

Congrats your doing wonderful! Dont know about the pain but if in doubt its
always best to call your doc.

Not as successful but working on it. I started working out with weights as
soon as I was able and had issues with the weight machines and the stomach
area. I decreased the weights and increased the amount of reps that I did
and things have been fine since. I also do crunches at home and do them
slow, without any added weight to my body, with proper form and I get way
better results without the worries of hernias.
