Question:
Chest pain underneath breastbone what could this be?

It started this afternoon a very sharp pain which had me keeled over unable to move then that sharp pain went away but there is still lingering mild pain. I went to the ER and sat for 4 hours with no help so I left. I don't know if I should go back or wait until tomorrow to call my doc any suggestions.    — jnmcneil (posted on September 16, 2003)

Sounds like gallbladder, but you need to call your doctor. The one with a medical degree is the best one to give a diagnosis.

Hi. I had the same thing in April. It was my gall bladder. I sat in the emergency 5 hours and they told me to see my Dr. the next day. I did and it was my Gall Bladder. I had it removed with my gastric bypass 2 weeks ago. I would have that pain if I ate anything that was very fatty or greasy.
