Chest pain underneath breastbone what could this be?

It started this afternoon a very sharp pain which had me keeled over unable to move then that sharp pain went away but there is still lingering mild pain. I went to the ER and sat for 4 hours with no help so I left. I don't know if I should go back or wait until tomorrow to call my doc any suggestions.
