Question:
I need a WLS-friendly/knowledgeable PCP in Pensacola, FL

I live in Pensacola, but will be having my surgery done by Dr Dennis Smith in Marietta, GA. My previous PCP has left West Florida so I am looking for one that has experience maybe with other post-ops and can aid in the aftercare of WLS. He/she needs to be a Beech Street Provider as well (I can find that out myself though if anyone can throw some names my way!) Thanks in advance! =)    — ChristiMNB (posted on March 21, 2001)

Try contacting Baptist Hospital...I know there is a surgeon who does wls at this hospital...I can't remember his name right now, but if you call and ask for the bariatric surgeon, that group may be able to give you some names of wls friendly PCP's. Good luck.
