Question:
What are the best foods to eat for blood sugar control?
I'm 15 months post-op RNY. But, I'm having problems finding the right foods to help manage blood glucose levels. I can eat small meals during the day, however this will also include protein shakes as well. Sometime, I can't eat all of the food needed for a diabetic diet. So, I need choices in food menu, I'm tried of eggs, chicken and cheese. Thanks Nevalle — wade0005 (posted on December 10, 2009)

Are you sure you're still diabetic? i was a diabetic ahead of time. i had
surgery in May and by August was officially no longer a diabetic. i would
just make sure that it's the right kind of diet to be sticking to. Good
luck.

Unless you are a type one diabetic I'd be surprised if you are still
diabetic. Have you been given a hemoglobin A1C test? I had type 2 diabetes
and was immediately taken off diabetes meds. Anyway, anything low in carbs
are OK. You can try fish instead of chicken. Tuna is good or eat refriend
beans.
