What are the best foods to eat for blood sugar control?

I'm 15 months post-op RNY. But, I'm having problems finding the right foods to help manage blood glucose levels. I can eat small meals during the day, however this will also include protein shakes as well. Sometime, I can't eat all of the food needed for a diabetic diet. So, I need choices in food menu, I'm tried of eggs, chicken and cheese. Thanks Nevalle
