Question:
Looking for finance co options for Gastric Bypass self pay in Texas.

I am self employed and have no insuance so I will have to pay for my procedure out of pocket. Does anyone out there know of finance institutes where a person could get a loan for this procedure that will not gouge a person terribly with the high interest rates? Please help. I am so anxious! Denise, I too was in your situation. I ended up going to Mexico and having the surgery for about 1/3 of the cost and had excellent care. If you are at all interested in this you can go to my profile and read all about it. Let me know if I can be of any further help. Neisha Haskins

Aloha, I, too, chose Mexico for this reason. Dr. Gilberto Ungson in Hermosillo, Sonora, charges $10,500 for either the MGB or RNY. Around $13K for the DS, I think. That said, if you want to stay stateside, check out www.carecredit.com. I applied and was approved for a percentage of a procedure, but it didn't apply in Mexico so I didn't use it. G'luck.
