Question:
has anyone had their belly button pierced after a tummy tuck?

I had mine pierced 2 times now and my body ends up rejecting it, my belly button was removed and placed back on surgically at the time of my tummy tuck... this time I have had the ring in for almost 5 months, it was fine the first few months. now it seems like the skin is wearing away, can anyone help??    — LINDA L. I am glad you asked this question!!! I want to get mine pierced when I am closer to goal (lost 122..have 30 to go). I hope someone posts and answer. Good Luck.

I have never had my belly-button pierced but i am planning on having it done after i loose all of my weight and make it to goal. however, i have had other piercings and and my friends have had their belly-buttons pierced before...i've got two ideas about what might be happening with your piercing...if you have your belly button pierced where there is scar tissue from the first surgery that might be the problem..what i think is probably more likely is that your piercing is migrating...this happens when your not pierced deep enough. the metal ring just kind of works its way to the surface of your skin. my friend had that happen to her eyebrow piercing...if that's what's happening then you just need to go to a different body piercer..someone who knows just how deeply to place the ring. good luck...

I had the GBS and TT at the same time, I got my belly button pierced after I had lost 60lbs (160). I love it, especially since my stomach is so flat, I consider it my best asset now.
