Question:
who submits your official weight to the insurance company?
I saw my pcp last week and I weighed 207, at the weight loss spacialist(helping me through the surgery journey)I was 203, and at the nutritionist I was 204.I have not met with the sugeon yet, according to the nutritionist my bmi is at 39.8 which means I am 1 lb away to qualify for for lap band with no comorbities,so what should I do?? — MARIA P. I think you have to tell them which weight to submit, go ahead and gain a
pound or two to be safe I'd say. My weight isn't quite enough to make it,
but with time it will be. At my surgeon's office there's one lady that
sends in all the paperwork, and I'm supposed to let her know once i've
weighed in at the right weight so she can send the stuff in.

When I went through this the surgeon's office handled everything with my
insurance.
