I suggest you read about Probiotics! They really changed my life! I had
the same trouble from eating too many simple carbs at one point, being
lactose intolerant and from foods...I had not realized exactly what they
meant by the "Carb Monster" until I did the 5 Day Pouch Test
(http://www.5daypouchtest.com/)Full explanation at the site...It got me
back on track and left my grumpy pouch feeling GREAT again...That along
with probiotics helps me tremendously because I am lactose intolerant as
well and I love cheese! Without probiotics, :::whew:::: For me, it was just
too much sugar/simple carbs which I had started a bad habit of for a short
time! I was hooked on peppermint patties and Hersheys Kisses... (I
know...bad!)It was the holidays away from home! If that wasn't bad enough
I was also eating mom's Italian food (bread and pasta). Bad bacteria in
your gut LOVES sugar and simple carbs and having low stomach acid provides
the environment that it likes as well! ...They grow (bloom) and start
country clubs and open golf courses for their growing communities! LOL
Seriously, though, their waste after a good community is started IS that
gas, bloating and foul smell! Probiotics are good bacteria that eat the bad
bacteria, so a good balance is maintained in your gut. Read about
probiotics here: (http://www.usprobiotics.org/basics.asp) Hope that
helps...It worked for me...The probiotics take about a week or two at the
most to get a really bad bloom under control....then it's just watching
what you eat again and stay away from sugar and simple carbs! (They really
stink!) LOL

Ditto on the probiotics! I had similar problems to yours and within a day
or two of taking probiotics I had relief. It is now a part of my daily
regimen-along with my vitamins.

I agree. But mine got so bad I had to have an antibiotic for 10 days
(Flagyl or Levaquin from my G.I. Doc) to kill those bad boys. After that, I
could then start the probiotics. Garden Of Life's "Primal Defense
Ultra" is loaded with live strains, and the owner of that company
knows what poor health is first hand. Hope this advice helps!
