J.S. how long have you been gaining the weight back?
How have your eating habits changed (less fruit/vegies, more soda, carbs,
etc.)?
What type of exercise did you start with; have you increased your rythm?
J.S., these are just a few things that I think you should answer first
before considering a revision. If you know your pouch works then it must
be something that you need to change as far as food intake or exercise.
But don't beat yourself up though. Just recognize the problem and retreat.
You are victorious for several reasons, 1) you lost the weight in the
beginning 2) you admit there is a problem so you've reached out for help 3)
you recognize that the problem isn't the pouch. Know this, most people
don't want to admit that WLS is a big hurdle to jump; "it ain't
easy".
I too am going through the same thing right now. I haven't put on any
extra pounds, but I will if I don't get a grip 'right now'. We must take
charge of what we want and regain the boost of confidence that we once had
in order to contiue to fight this battle of obesity.
Hope I helped!

Try to get yourself to some support groups. Check in your area if there
are any. If your doctor runs one you should be going to that. Get
yourself back to the nutritionist immediately! He or she will plan a
program for you to follow to put you back on track. Try weight watchers.
Hope all of this advice helps. Good luck.

John,
I know that this is scary, I am now 3 yrs out from my surgery and had
gained back 12lbs over the summer. I was frantic...I calmed down and
started back with protein (I do like the shakes, but I eat protein foods
too), water (instead of alot of caffeinated drinks or soda), and
supplements (your nutrition is important). I know that with my pouch
intact that it will always be there to help me....when i returned to the
basics the weight came back off. I go up and down the same 3-5 lbs, but
that is okay as long as I don't gain. I know that it is hard, but you are
so totally worth the effort. It is a good idea to go for support
somewhere, either a support group or therapy if there is something that is
causing you to eat. Overeaters Anonymous is also a good place to go to deal
with issues about eating.
((((John)))) I know that you had the surgery to help yourself, and you can
do that again.
(I left out exercising because I can't seem to commit to doing anything and
don't feel I can tell someone else that they should be doing something I
can't seem to stick with myself).
You can also find support here at OH or also at Yahoo groups.
Keep us posted.

HI John come over to that [email protected] to help you get back on
track. It works & can be done. start tracking what you eat, how much,
& what you drink. if you drink soda stop that NOW, start walking if you
don't exercise. You have to change your head back in the right frame of
mind. You can do this john. Hang in there!! Marilyn the bearlady
