She may be eating too much.. this will cause pain and vomiting... Keep a
close eye on her..

This early out one bite to much would make me very ill. I now 8 months out
and now know when to quit. Make sure she chew each bite really well, take
small bites and do not drink anything while she eats and for 30 min. That
still make me ill if I forget. Hope this helps.

It is all about siping small amounts at a time. She needs to learn what
foods she can tolerate. If she can find two or three things that stay down,
then she can slowly add more.. I was on a very limited diet for three
months just figuring out what my new system woudl tolerate. So get a
medicine cup that is a serving. She should sip that slowly over time. then
wait at least twenty minutes and do it again.
Some people are much more sensitive to foods than others.

With my experience 3.5 yrs RNY, I would say she shouldn't even be eating
food yet. She should still be on the liquid phase. Her pouch hasn't even
healed yet, she is putting food in it? It isn't ready for food. Tell her
to baby her pouch with liquid (you should see through them) and thick
liquids like split pea soup only thinned down a lot. I know this is why
she is having severe pain. Don't be in a hurry to eat food, it will happen
but talk to her and tell her to not rush it. Then main thing right now is
to focus on healing the pouch and healing it properly. There are four food
phases: liquid, thick liquid, soft/pureed, and solid. She should stay on
the liquid for a month or so before moving over to thick liquid. Please no
food. That could cause the pouch to not heal right. She shouldn't feel
hunger yet, at least for another 3-4 months, longer for some, shorter for
others. Hope this helps your wife. Take care, you are a good support
system for her!!! ;-)
