Question:
I got really sick after surgery couldn't keep nothing incl. vitamins down.
I ended up not being able to walk and my legs, my turso became very numb and fingers/toes were very tinglely. I was vitamin deficient, in & out of the hospital. I am able to keep food and vitamins down now, but still somewhat numb and tinglely. I am almost one year post op and lost 110lbs. I have been on an excersing regimen and can not seem to lose anymore weight. I need to lose 40 more lbs. has this happend to anyone else? Please let me know. — cherrypause (posted on November 1, 2006)

Hi Miriam,
I am only barely 6 months out. I have had a plateu for about 6 weeks now.
Also I just wanted to say that since my surgery my calves of my legs have
been tingley numb. No one can seem to figure out what it is. Some days
are better than others. Also after I had surgery I was sick like that too.
Come to find out I had a stricture and had to have it fixed not once but 4
different times. But I am so much better now and only have 7lbs to go to
get to goal weight.

What is your vitamin regimen today? If your B1 (thiamin) and/or B12 levels
were low enough to cause damage, where are they now? Since you have
experienced some malnutrition, your body may be refusing to let go of any
more weight until it feels secure that you are well enough nourished (in
all vital areas) to allow healthy weight loss. Are you good with water (as
in water)?
