Question:
Does he require any amount of weight loss prior to surgery?
I have my first consultation with Dr. Rout in December and I am trying to find out all I can. I was wondering about his requirements as to weight loss prior to surgery if any. Does he perform the lap procedure or open only? Any information would be greatly appreciated. About how long did it take from approval date to actually having the surgery? Thanks. — KARLA S. This is horrible, but it worked for me. I found out my surgeon required
weight loss prior to surgery--10%, in my case 45 lbs. Well, I've been
trying to diet for so long...but the problem with me is that I'm always
hungry. So, I packed my pockets, shoes, blazer with weights. I even wore
ankle weights...I still attempted to lose weight...I lost about 17 lbs by
myself, but when I went in to get weighed minus the 17 lbs and the weights,
it looked like I had lost 47 lbs! surgery wasn't hindered...although my
angel is apprx 320...it's 5 months later and she's almost lost the 32 lbs.
I've already had surgery and lost 109 lbs. Was it worth cheating?
Absolutely...I feel better than I ever have. Good luck
