Question:
Hello, I am almost 8 months out, and I have only 41 pounds

to goal, and I am wondering what to do about the bottom part of my stomach. I stil feel like it is huge, I hate it. I am so embarassed by it. I wear size 11/12 and some 13/14's. I need to get rid of it. What is the best kind of exercises that I can do to tighten up this flabby part? And how do I know what is excess skin? I have no idea if I am going to have to have a TT or not. I know this is probally weird. Could this be the flab? There is substance under the skin so I assume that this is still fat instead of excess skin? OPEN RNY10/4 -93lbs Columbus Ohio, Dr. Christopher Kaczmarski.    — TONYA B. (posted on May 23, 2002)

Well it could very well be excess skin from the weight loss and to tell you the truth I don't think any kind of exercise is going to tone the skin that has been so stretched out and it seems like you probably need a tummy tuck (panniculectomy) to remove this apron. Best advice anyone can give you is go consult with a plastic surgeon. Good luck.

my doctor told me not to worry about it, that after the weight is lost that the insurance will usually cover the cost of the tummy tuck if there are reasons for it,not how it looks but like rashes under it constantly is a good reason because the rashes sometimes cause skin infections or yeast infections so check it out-
