Hi I had the sleeve and I am so hoping some one will answer this question.
I too am working out about four times a week and the scale is not moving.
My W-L-S was last year July 08, and I have lost about 112 lbs and waiting
and wanting to loose more.

You said you think you're losing inches -- you probably are. Please take
your measurements. The scale was stuck for me for about 6 weeks, but my
clothes started falling off. Everything about me was shrinking except my
weight. It helps to take measurements about every 4-6 weeks, just so you
see the progress especially if you aren't seeing it on the scale.

First off, congrats on your weight loss so far, you are well on your way. I
had the same thing happen to me when i joined my gym 7 months post op. The
big thing to remember is that it is highly unlikely your personal trainer
has worked with a wls person such as yourself. You should always follow
your doctor's advice. Myself personally, however, I do tend to eat 5-6
protein packed meals a day. However, it is because I am at the gym 1-2
hours a day 5-6 days a week. There is no doubt in my mind from what you are
saying that you are putting on muscle mass. Remember, each percent of fat
you turn to muscle, your body burns an additional 35-50 extra calories a
day. As long as you keep working out and eating right, you should see the
number on the scale going down. Personally it took me about 3 months before
I lost 10 lbs working out, but i went form a 42 pant down to a 36 in the
meantime. So keep at and good luck with your weight loss!!!!

Give it time, you are at the stage in your workouts where you are probably
gaining muscle...Different surgeons have different opinions and
protocol...but eating 5-6 small meals a day is a perfectly normal and good
way to eat according to many experts, doctors, nutritionists, weight
trainers, etc! It's all a matter of opinion. You are allowed to have your
own...after all it is your body. If you want to fill your tank every time
you use a few gallons of gas, as long as you do not over fill it, what is
the differnce if you choose to fill it on empty or top it off before it's
empty??? Just something to think about...When you work out, your body
demands more fuel as well...and if you eat before and after work outs, your
body will do MUCH better...Just a little complex carbs give you energy to
have a great work out...and meal of lean protein and complex carbs help
your muscles recover after a work out...I eat fruit before workouts and eat
a meal, (breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the time I work out)
after a work out...If you do not feed your muscles after a work out, it can
take 24 hours for you muscles to recover on thier own. Ask your trainer
about it...It's his/her field of specialty...I doubt your surgeon has a
clue how to build muscles any more than your trainer has a clue how to do
gastric bypass...
