Question:
has anyone used HAP PPO INSURANCE?
Has anyone had trouble using hap ppo for there wls? I have hap and it requires a $1000 co-pay which is not bad ,and i have a great doctor helping me with paperwork but it seems some insurance companys approve faster than others. I'm so excited for the possibility of a whole new life that maybe im just trying to rush it. any way if any one has info it would be greatly appreciated.!! — lovli27 (posted on April 17, 2006)

Well, I will give you an answer but it may not be what your looking for.
When i had my surgery, i was on Blue Care Network, which is an HMO. It
paid for everything, but i had to switch to HAP HMO after i had surgery and
i knew from speaking to others that it did not cover any type of
reconstructive surgery at all, so i had my tummy tuck and lipoplasty before
i switched, which i was not done losing yet, but that was my only option.
I dont regret it but, i do have some skin now, but i am not sure how the
HAP PPO works, since mine was an HMO. I lived in SE Michigan too, that may
make a difference, hope this helps, Kim
