Question:
How do I get my surgery paid for in Indiana?
I am a student and substitue a couple days a week. My last years salary was around $4000. I have no children. Taking out a loan is not a posibitility. I have looked at financing but I dont have the credit or that kind of money for payments. I dont think I qualify for government help. Does anyone have any suggestions? Danielle,
I think you may need to investigate medicaid in your state. You may need to
get full time work and have the surgery and continue with school after the
surgery. Since your a student what insurance do you have now? Do they
cover any WLS?
In my state all students must have health insurance either through their
own/spouse's work, parents or they must buy it through the school.
You should fill out the Medicaid application and try to qualify, the worst
they will tell you is no, so you're no worse off then you are now.
Best of Luck
