Question:
Any similar people with this issue out there?

I am two weeks post op surgery. I feel great have ok energy but there is only one thing that concerns me. I have a very tender and painful right side. It is also swollen looking (right under breast) and bigger than my right side. Looks like i have a third smaller boob. I asked the surgeon about it my first apt. and he said that is where the most work was done. I have a two week post op with him Monday and well voice my concerns, but an curious if anyone has had this? Is this normal?    — spiderdiva (posted on June 11, 2009)

Go to your doctor and have him check if it is a hernia. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.

I am two weeks out and have the same thing on the left side. I went to see my DR. on Wednesday and he said it would go away. That it was nothing to worry about. But I would make sure to ask your Dr. What is okay for one person may not be okay for another. You may even want to call and talk to the nurse at the office. Do not be afraid to call your Dr. with any questions. This is what they are getting paid for and better safe then sorry. If it bothers you call. Have a great day.

This si commmon. The left side will be swollen and sore for many months after surgery. It can flare up up to six months later. I does get better with time. Just a little sore once in a whle. After about six months mine has not given me any soreness. You have had major surgery. It will take some time for you to heal. It is so worth it.

I had this problem but on the left side where they said the largest instruments were used and the surgeon worked the most. It did go away after about 3 weeks I even started sleeping on my stomach around that time. But make sure to ask your surgeon and have him check it.Hope all is better soon.....

I had this problem als0 but on the left side where all the instuments were. I had a hematoma(blood blister) in that incision. It had to be reopened and drained daily for several weeks. After all the blood was drained and it started healing correctly,I had no pain at all. I went back to work after 5 weeks totally pain free.
