Question:
Has anyone with Harvard Pilgrim HMO been approved for a TT?

My husband's policy is changing from BC/BS to either Harvard Pilgrim or Tufts. Has anyone been approved for abdominoplasty or panni by them? He also has a choice of UNITED Healthcare PPO. Are PPO's more apt to approve than an HMO? We need to decide by Tuesday on insurance so if anyone has info on this issue your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!    — Kathleen M. Hi, I'm sorry I don't know the answer to this one but I also have Harvard Pilgrim HMO and have been wondering the same thing. I don't know if I'll need one yet because I am only 5 wks post-op and have about 80 more lbs to goal. Lost 35 so far.

I was approved for a panniculectomy 11/24/04) but not for the abdomiplasty. I am 4 weeks post-op panni - back to work 2.5 weeks after surgery. I still have a bandaged area. Drains removed second week(3), belly button struggling to heal. I guess all is going weel. I see my surgeon Thursday - I do not believe that I will lose the bandage this visit.
