Question:
What do you think of these snacks?

I try to limit snacking, but when the "salt attacks" come on, I have found "Glenny's Soy Crisps" to be pretty good. They come in 2-serving bags, and for each serving, provides the following: 70 Cal, Total Fat 1.5 g, Total Carb 9 g, Fiber 1.5 g, Sugar 1 g, Protein 4.5 g, Sodium 170 mg. There are various flavors, and all I've tried have been pretty good-tasting. What do you all think? Thanks for your opinions, and if anyone else has tried other snacks like these, and like them, please share. Lap RNY 9/11/03, 254/192/???    — Carlita (posted on January 22, 2004)

The Soy Crisps are my favorite protein snack. I like all of the flavors, including the newest one, Cheddar Cheese...JR

Where did you purchase these snacks? What section of the store are they in? Thanks for the information!

We have something like that out here in CA called Gen Soy Crisps. The only problem is that I seem to eat a bit too many of them. I think each bag has 3 servings yet I seem to be able to finish it in 2. I worry with these that I am back to my old habits. But at leeast they have protein. I am afraid of the day when those Protein Doritoes come out.

Hello. I've seen these at some of the convenient stores and gas stations but haven't tried them. I am afraid I would eat too much and they would not be filling. They are a much better snack than the soy nuts I eat.

What about Pork Skins? They are fairly low in calories, very low in carbs, and pretty descent in protein.

I like the bar-b-q flavor of these chips. They have a variety of flavors and are high in protein, as well. I like skins with just a little bit of hot sauce on them and cheddar cheese sticks that are about an ounce.
