Question:
Nutrionist eval

Does anyone know what is needed in the nutrional eval. My nut is getting on my nerves and I feel like she is holding me back by trying to find out a lot of information that is not necessary (trying to find a reason to not be able to approve me). Every other doctor I went to they had a brief questionaire and then wrote a letter, she on the other hand seems to have pages and pages of questions that she has pulled offline. Like wtf. I am sorry that I have not had the same experience as you. My Nut wanted to know if I was prepared to follow the program including the protein shakes. She didn't ask page after page of questions. She gave me a diet to follow and what to expect for the first month. I hope that you get your answers. Susan

I realize that every NUT does things differently, but what yours is doing is ridiculous! I looked on your profile and you were exactly where you are now ONE MONTH ago with her! Get your records and find a NUT that has experience with weight loss patients. I called a couple before I chose one. I asked them exactly what they required to write my approval letter and made my decision from there. Good luck, I'm sorry she has wasted so much of your time.

Sorry to hear about all the frustration with the NUT. I am in the same process as yourself and I have NUT visit scheduled in less than a week. I ask my surgeon office for a list or a name of a NUT they recommend. One that is fully aware and experience with a patient facing WLS. Most of all supportive. Just a we research the surgeon, maybe you should see how long your NUT has been doing this...with questons off the internet....that will raise a flag with me.
