Question:
Why have I started to gain weight?
I have gained ten lbs I am starting to feel down on myself and I have alot of exsess skin and I need to find a doctor that will except a payment plan to remove the skin. even if I can start paying before the surgery is done. I want to have one more child and have the skin removed after. But I am scared of gaining alot of weight during prenancy. — crystalbrian (posted on February 23, 2008)

First, are you now pregnet and have not tested for it? Do you still
excersize? If you want another child I would not worry about the weight
loss because you now know how dificult it was to loss it before surgery and
you have learned the proper eating principals for a health you, so have the
child and do what your doctor tells you to and then take off the weight
with a sound diet and excersize.
As to the skin removal, I would contact Capital One Credit as they financed
my WLS 100% and I make monthly payments that amount to what I use to spend
in extra food, including fast food and other dinning out. I now dine out,
but my wife orders and I eat a few things from her plate on a bread plate.
I don't see that ever changing for me, and I am glad to send them a check
each month that I was spending to maintain my big body.

Getting pregnant is ok if you are 18mths out. You do not want to have
plastic surgery until all the weight is off that you want off. You do not
want to gain or lose more then 5 pounds after surgery that is not good for
you or your skin or the surguries. You will gain weight with your child.
i gained 60 but you know what I am 6 mths out after having him and have 15
more to go. You can do it if you want to and if you don't eat right and do
the right things then you do not want too enough. You are your own will
and can truely do it if you want.

Hi Crystal. Weight gain is something we all have to deal with. Exercise
will help your esteem and your body. I know that sagging skin can make us
feel down, but look where you came from. I did have a TT, and am glad I
did, but my theighs look like two charpa puppies, I call them mut and jeff.
Sometimes I get a little blue about it, but I am so thankful for the
weight loss. Cut back on whatever you can, start a diary of foods, just
like before you had wls. Do what you need to and discover the issues/foods
that are harming you and move forward. If you are 100% on diet, exercise
and water, then see your doctor and see what is up. Take care. Patricia
