Question:
surgery time length after pysc. visit

I am on Illinois Public Aid and had my first visit with the surgeon in Peoria, Il. In Feb.06 I saw the pysc. How long is it usually before there is a surgery date. The pysc. has set another appointment for me in Aug. 06. I will be 60 soon.    — monner4 (posted on March 22, 2006)

Surgery dates really differ based on so many factors - I had a 14 month wait due to my insurance wanting a one year doctor supervised diet. On the doctor end, I would have had to only wait 4 months if my insurance approved me right away. This is something you should definitely ask your doctor's office about - find out a timeline from them, etc.
