I'm not sure if my daily menu is a picture perfect example of what you
should be doing, but I'm 6 months postop and have lost 105 lbs and I'm
still losing...so, here's a typical day for me:
Breakfast: Mini bagel with a tablespoon of low fat cream cheese, 16oz
dunkin donuts coffee with 4oz fat free creamer and 3(yes 3) packets of
equal. Or 1 scrambled egg on half a english muffin with 6 oz of OJ.
Mid-morning snack: 1 cup of fruit salad, or 4 oz. yogurt.
Lunch: 1/2 bologna & cheese sandwich, handfull of pretzels and diet
snapple. Or, Chef-boy-ar-dee kids meal (lazagna or ravioli)They come in a
7oz tub, just the right size!
Afternoon snack: 4oz beef jerky, or 4oz of cottage cheese.
Dinner: 4oz of chicken, fish, pork or beef (usually marinated in a
combination of fat free italian dressing and teriaki sauce and grilled)and
4oz of some type of veggie,or sometimes instead of veggies, a small red
potatoe or some rice. I try to eat the protein first and if I have any room
left, the other stuff!
Bedtime snack: 4 oz of pudding or low fat ice cream or an ice cream
sandwich (yum!)
And, all day long....big glasses of Chrystal Lite pink lemonade! I can
definately tell the days that I don't drink enough, I really feel bloated!
Like I said, I'm not sure if this is the perfect plan, but it works for me!
Good luck! :)

I am at 3 1/2 months and trying to push protein. I aim for 75 grams a day.
Sometimes I make it. Sometimes not. I am not big on breakfast, but I
sometimes eat an egg and a slice of cheese on toast (I eat half, my
daughter eats half) or 1/4 c cottage cheese with a little granola. I keep
cheese and fruit on hand so that I always have a protein snack. The baby
bel cheese is 3/4 oz which is just right for me with some fruit. I also
like to keep a spiral cut ham around. I freeze it in little packages and
will often just grab a slice or two when I am hungry. When I eat out at
lunch, I usually go for a chicken caesar (La Madeleine-light on the
dressing and it lasts two meals) or a taco al carbon (again, it lasts two
meals). Some of the frozen dinners are okay. I have found some Smart Ones
that taste really good. I usually eat the meat out of them along with a
couple of bites of the side. I also started a protein drink (zero carb
Isopure) to boost my protein and liquid intake. It must be working, I wore
a size 22 and now can almost fit in a 12! Protein at every meal is my
mantra. I don't put ANYTHING in my mouth unless it is accompanied by some
amount of protein. A good (and interesting) book to read is Protein Power.
I think it explains why this surgery works so well and why we can keep the
weight off. Good luck to you!

I am almost 6 months post-op, and I generally eat between 800-1200 calories
in a given day. I normally have cereal for b-fast, fruit for a snack
(melon, berries and grapefruit all go down great), a sandwich with deli
meat/cheese on it for lunch and a very moderate dinner consisting normally
of 2-3 oz. of some kind of meat. Hope the info. helps.

I am 1 year post op and have been eating the same way for about 8 months
now. Breakfast is usually a scrambled egg with ham & cheese, OR a piece
of peanut buter toast OR french bread toasted with melted cheese on it.
Lunch is usually leftovers of previous dinners. Dinner consists of maily
protein - usually meat of some kind with a small amount of whatever side
dish my husband is having. The items I snack on most often are cheese it
crackers and cashews - I buy both of them in the individual bags at Sam's
Club to keep my serving size under control. When I get home from work I am
often very hungry so have been trying to grab a piece of meat or cheese to
hold me over till dinner. I had 1/2 a sugar free Eskimo Bar for a snack
tonight and it was really good. I don't calories or grams or anything like
that as I'm trying to live my life like a "normal" person.

I am 15 months post op and I usually get in 90 to 120 grams of protein a
day. Consist of 1 or 2 protein drinks 40grams each and then bacon, egg or
other for breakfast along with skim milk. For lunch I try to eat protein
and sometimes a chicken ceaser wrap or chicken plain. Dinner I have protein
with a some kind of veg. or little carb brown rice or potato.
