Question:
should i have a plastic surgeon do my panniculectomy? my regular surgoen is ready now

my origional dr did a great jod w/the bypass, but ive seen his panni. work and its rough..looks like a shark bite..can i get an insurance company to agree to have a plastic surgeon do the panni, after its been approved to be done by my origional dr?    — [Anonymous] (posted on August 15, 2001)

I was going to have my WLS surgeon do my panni and then I decided to go to a plastic surgeon after my insurance had already approved my WLS doctor. There was no problem getting my insurance to approve the Plastic surgeon. I'm scheduled for hernia surgery and panni on Sept.12th. Good luck with yours.
