Question:
Has anyone been approved for WLS who has Motorola HAP ins.?

I'm looking for a reponse from anyone who has Motorola HAP insurance and has filed a letter for WLS approval. What has been your experience, were you approved, how long did it take, did you have to appeal? Thanks so much.    — Karen H. (posted on November 4, 2000)

Hi Karen, I have MOT HAP insurance and was fully approved and covered for th surgery in April, 2000. I am now 6 months post op and feel wonderful. Down 100 lbs, and other health problems have improved or have completely gone away. I never havd to submit a letter for the approval. I did not have any problems getting approval within a couple of weeks. I went through the Weight for Life program with Dr. kane in Elk Grove Village, IL. After I complated all the paperwork I submitted it them and they put it through to MOT. I never even spoke to MOT directly.
