Question:
Confused about endoscopy results, please help.
I had an RNY and lots of trouble. The endoscopy showed ulcers and two holes. I was told one hole was the duodenum coming in and one was the small intestine going out. I thought the duodenum hooks down farther to the small intestine. Can the duodenum inlet be seen from the pouch during an endoscopy? — andrea M. (posted on March 15, 2000)

Your duodenum is the first part of your small intestine and can definetly
be seen doing an EGD. I just recently had an EGD due to a stricture. Good
Luck and I hope everything goes well for you.
