Confused about endoscopy results, please help.

I had an RNY and lots of trouble. The endoscopy showed ulcers and two holes. I was told one hole was the duodenum coming in and one was the small intestine going out. I thought the duodenum hooks down farther to the small intestine. Can the duodenum inlet be seen from the pouch during an endoscopy?
