Question:
Help!!!!! Does anyone who had gastric bypass had kidney failure?

I had gastric bypass one year ago and I experienced kidney failure during the procedure. Since then I have lost 250 lbs. Over the last five months my weighloss has drastically decreased. Do people with bad kidney lose less weight and what can I do to increase my weight lost. as time goes on and you lose a great deal of weight it will always slow down. when you weigh less your body requires less calories to maintain. Everybody slows down after several months. That is normal. As far as the kidneys, you may need to follow a little differnt diet and you should be working with your nephrologist and dietician as to what is appropriate for you. WE are here to support you but we cannot fairly advise you on eating habits when the wrong advise could damage yo and your kidneys. Hang in there!
