Question:
Is there anyone who is or isnt happy with their breast lift with or without
implants? I have recently been approved for a reconstructed BL the PS said i have no breast tissue left ( funny i used to tho DD to a saggyyy B) I want to get implants, but i dont think he wants to do that, i have an app with him on the 21st to discuss the implant situation. What i am asking is , where you satisfied with just a lift? Or did you have very little tissue and get implants and a lift? How do they look? Pictures would deeply be appriceated! Then i'll know if whinning to the PS will be worth mine and his time. Thank you — brandy H. (posted on April 8, 2004)

I am two weeks post-op breast lift (no implant) today. Here's my stats:
5'7" tall, starting weight 260, today's weight 149. When I reached
goal, my breasts were still 36DD, hung to almost my waist and I actually
rolled them up and stuffed them in a sports bra. They consisted mainly of
stretch marks with very little breast tissue left and were flat and looked
like tube socks completely. My PS insisted that he could make me look
perky and I had enough tissue left for a small B cup. I took his advice
and didn't get the implant AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. I absolutely love
the high, tight and firm look with little circle nipples instead of huge
aerolas. I'm at the office and may forget to send you my before/after pics
when I get home so please drop me an email at [email protected] and I'll
get those right off to you. Best of luck in this tough decision making
process.

I am glad you asked this I am also thinking of either lift and/or implants.
I have gone from a 44dd to 40d or sometimes a 38d. Have smaller ones now
would be nice since I had "big ones" for so long. It would change
my top size from a 14 to 12. I am in 12 and sometimes 10 jeans. I hope you
get lots of answers to your post.

I had a lift with implants and I am VERY happy with the result. I had
almost no breast tissue left and would have had virtually nothing without
the implants. They look beautiful, if I do say so myself! email me
privately for a link to my surgeon's website. I'm his poster child. Good
luck! hugs, Ann....RNY 9/10/99.....260/124

I had a breastlift with no implants last year. My PS wanted to put them in
but I didn't want them and have to 'maintain' them down the road. I
couldn't be happier with the results! I am 5'6" and 170bs (I look
thinner according to other people!) and in a size 10. I started at a 44D
pre weightloss, down to a 38C (pre PS) and now a 38B and extremely happy!
They are so perky!

Hi Brandy. I always ask and try to determine what the patient wants: is it
a SIZE or a SHAPE issue, or both. If you like the way you look in a
non-padded bra, then implants may not be needed. If you raise the breatss
yourself (fingertips above nipples...lift upward) and like the size, then
again...no implants. Implants do add to the weight of the breast, can
widen the scars, and make the breast sag earlier if too made big. THey
ahve a certain percentage chance of deflating, and having other problems.
So I use them only in cases where the patient and I feel they are needed.
