I'm at 6 weeks post-op and I've been eating nuts. My doctor said to try
things and he didn't put any restrictions on it. I just chew, chew, chew
and haven't had any problems.

I am just three days shy of being eight weeks out and I eat nuts quite
frequently. My favorite type is cashews. I sometimes eat a handful as a
meal and make sure that I don't snack on them all day. I have been able to
tolerate nuts very well with no problems at all. Just make sure that you
get plain nuts instead of honey roasted, etc. as the added sugar could
cause a problem. Have fun experimenting. ~Kristy (lap rny 09/18/03 -

If you want a high protein snack, try soy nuts! Just make sure you get the
salted ones. Also macadamon(sp) nuts have more protein then peanuts!
