Question:
Any problems with Masshealth and/or Medicare Insurance?

Hi everyone- My friend heard something that upset her today. Someone in the medical field told her that after you complete all your pre-op testing and the surgeon's office submits your paperwork for approval, Masshealth and Medicare then take ANOTHER 2 or 3 years to approve the surgery! If anyone has any experience with Masshealth or Medicare, please let me know. Did you have to wait 2-3 years for an answer? Feel free to e mail me privately if you wish. Hi, Alls I know is about medicare, and they usuallycover the surgery, they just don't preapprove any type of surgery before you have it done that is just their policy in any state you live in. But usually the surgeon submits all of the paperwork then does the surgery anyway, then after it is done, then they pay! And, everyone I know so far that has medicare and has had this surgery done, medicare did indeed pay for everything. So I hope this helps out alittle good luck to you!
