Question:
Anthem Blue Access-IN Approval w/o 18mths dr supr weightloss?

I have recently acquired Anthem Blue Access--Indiana. They require 18mths of dr supervised weightloss attempts. I didn't know that I was in need of this because I just got this insurance in Aug.03. Has anyone ever gotten approved without this? Now that I've made this decision and worked on this since the first of the year with my other insurance company, I really don't want to have to wait another 18 months. I have the same INS and yes they did require the 18 month diet history. I have never been on a "diet" but still got the approval because I was able to establish in my medical records where the doctor recommended a diet to try. Everytime I was in to see the doctor in the years before even really pursuring RNY surgery, the doctors wanted me to diet. This went back at least three years and this is what Anthem looked at for my diet history. I never lost a pound but the doctors kept pushing the diets. Read my profile for more details on Anthem.
