Anthem Blue Access-IN Approval w/o 18mths dr supr weightloss?

I have recently acquired Anthem Blue Access--Indiana. They require 18mths of dr supervised weightloss attempts. I didn't know that I was in need of this because I just got this insurance in Aug.03. Has anyone ever gotten approved without this? Now that I've made this decision and worked on this since the first of the year with my other insurance company, I really don't want to have to wait another 18 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
