Question:
Does anyone else do this
Every month is the same. I guess my body is in a pattern.. the week before my monthly and the week of is when I loose all the weight I am going to loose for the month.. Then the 2 weeks after I dont loose anything in fact sometimes my weight goes up and down 2-5 pounds but when it comes around to loosing it looses it what it gains then 8-10 pounds... Here I thought I was the only one. I find it ext. weird that I only lose a
few days before, during, and a couple of days after my period. I thought
you were supposed to gain weight. And then I plateau or stabilize until my
next period. And during those times I only loose about 3-7 pounds. I don't
gain during the month though. Are you weighing yourself everyday at the
same time? I'm not gonna tell you not to weigh yourself everyday, cause I
do, but weight flucuates between 1-3 pounds depending on the time of day
and what you've been doing. I have no idea why I loose during this time of
the month only, but as long as it keeps coming off, no biggie. I don't
think your done sweetie, you said it yourself, you gain about 2-5 pounds
and then loose it and some friends around your period. If your that worried
your done look into your diet, exercise, and water intake. It can be as
simple as changing one of those variables. Good luck.

You are not alone, I am with you too. Frustrating, isn't it. But better
than nothing.

You're not alone. Happened to me all the way to goal. Although I never
gained during the "off" times. I just didn't lose or gain
anything then took it all off around period time. It'll start to change a
little but not much.

This same question was asked a few days ago by someone else. There are many
of us with the same exact situation. If you read my profile page you will
see that it has haunted me for 4.5 months. Best wishes -

I dont have a monthly anymore, due to a hystorectomey, but i am doing the
same thing i dont lose from about the 12th of the month to the last week ,
then BAM,it kicks down a notch, and i usually lose from 8 to 10 for the
month in those 2 weeks. I have no idea why, but now that i know, I dont get
so depressed, when the scale is mean to me.

I'm completely opposite. At 6 months post op and down 101 pounds. The
week before my period is when I don't loose anything. I loose any other
time during the month other than my period. Best Wishes, Heather

I'm like Heather.. and being at the end of that "week before"
I've been thinking about this question for two days.. quietly.. with good
humor cursing you all that get to lose this week.. I've gained two, luckily
no more.. but keeping reassuring myself that it will be gone in about ten
days. *grin* good luck to all.

I am also having the same problem. Prior to my surgery on May 5th I didn't
get my period for 10 months at a time, then 2 days after my surgery I got
my period and every month since. Sometimes for a few hrs, sometimes for a
few days and sometimes twice a month. During those times the week of or
week during or whenever it feels like it I don't lose any weight or gain
3-4lbs. I am down 71 lbs but it gets very depressing. Friday I do see my
gynecologist so I hope to find out what is going on. My surgeon said it
probably is because my body is in shock, but thought it would be good to
talk to specialist. When I know something I'll let you all know. God
Bless All
