Question:
Has any patients out here had Surgery w/ Dr. Waxman in Santa Barbara?

I am looking to communicate with former patients of Dr. Waxman's here in Santa Barbara County, Calif. I have heard may scary things about him and would like to research him further before considering him and I noticed there were no posts by patients he has preformed WLS on. Donna, I read your profile. Drs Zahriya and Keshishian in Delano takes MediCal. They do the DS. Have you looked into that at all? It's so easy to live with! The main info site is http://duodenalswitch.com/ and the doctors' site is http://gr-ds.com. There are monthly support group meetings in Paso Robles, but of course this month's was two days ago! You can join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DS_Friends_Keshishian/ to talk with other patients as well as ask questions on the duodenalswitch.com message board. I don't know anything about this doctor but my question to you is, if you've heard scary things about him, why are you even looking into him any further? Santa Barbara is a big place. Surely you can find someone else. You must be absolutely comfortable with your surgeon. Good luck!
