Question:
Tummy tuck remove your back pain?

My plastic surgeon wants to remove around 7 lbs of excess skin. My insurance says this amount is not significant to make a difference. I have read that 1 lb equals around 10 lbs of pressure on the back. Have you had less than 10 lbs removed and did it relieve your lower back pain? thx    — lessofme170 (posted on August 5, 2003)

I had about 6# removed with my tummy tuck and it definitely helped to remove my lower back pain. My breast reduction eliminated my upper back pain so now I'm a happy camper!

Yes!!! When I was on my feet alot before my TT, I would always develop lower back pain. I never have it now! I had over 7 pounds removed, but that included a breast lift and lower body lift, so my panni alone was probably between 5 and 6 pounds.
