I was told to leave ALL diet pills alone! It just returns us to the diet mentality that got us in the first place AND once you go off of them you'll gain back whatever they "might" have helped you lose!

oh and be VERY careful...some diet pills use a wafer of sorts that swells in the stomach to induce that full feeling. Can plug up the works big time!

the best thing you can do is just call your doctor/nurse and ask. what is really scary is some people worry about taking cold and pain medicine after wls.....but don't blink and eye about taking diet pills. i know you are frustrated, but you can lose that last 42 pounds. but if you take a diet pill to curb your appettie.....what happens when you don't have it anymore...will you gain the weight back? since you have had wls i am sure you have been on many diets and know the yo-yo thing. it might be hard and it might not come off as fast as you would like, but have faith in yourself..it will come off. best of luck

The reason I had to have WLS is because diet pills don't work. No matter what testimony you see on an infomercial, you must remember that they have been selling snake oil for centuries. I believe science is getting close to coming up with help but when it happens it will not be sold by hucksters.

Please ask your doctor before taking diet pills. They don't work on a long term basis and can be just plain BAD for you. Even the so-called "natural" ones have been known to cause problems. Please ask your doc for a healthy way to jump start your weight loss again!
