Question:
At 2 1/2 mos. post-op, how many calories per day?
I'm about 2 1/2 months post-op and was wondering how much others at this stage are getting in, calorie-wise, in a day. My weight seems to want to linger in the same region (dare I say plateau) and I'm just interested in what others are taking in. I'm about 800 calories per day, around 100 grams of protein, not too many carbs and about 84 ounces of fluids daily (most of them water). And I walk about 30 minutes 4 - 5 times a week. Any thoughts? plateus are a normal & expected phase of weight loss surgery. I found
I had to increase my calories to keep losing.

I am 11 weeks post-op today, and I'm getting about 900-1000 cals a day. I
have no idea if that is too much or not, but that's what I get. I do
cardio 3-5 times a week and weights 3 times a week. My weight loss has
stalled for the past 2-3 weeks (with a loss of about 2 pounds). I'm hoping
to jump on the scale soon and see a large change (downward)!I do think it's
normal to plateau at times, so don't fret over it. You seem to be doing
things right. You may want to start weight training to prevent lean muscle
mass. Just a thought. Good lcuk!

At 10 weeks, my surgeon said 1000 - 1400 calories a day; no LESS than 1000
was acceptable. At the time, I was getting 500. I found it very hard to
increase; now, at 19 months, I wish it were still so difficult.

Hello, I am 11 weeks out today. I have lost 50 lbs. I average eating 6
times a day, with my mini meals averaging about 200 calories each. So, I am
having approximately 1200 calories a day. Hope this helps...
