Question:
I'm 19 mos. post-op & having pain.
Sometimes - only sometimes - after eating I get a pain, or more like a cramp, just below my waist on the left side. I've had so much surgery over the years that I'm down to vital organs (LOL), so it's not ovaries, appendicitis, or anything like that. Any ideas, lovelies? — scottiemaam O. (posted on May 9, 2003)

I'm by no means an expert on the human body, but I believe that is where
the colon is located. It's possible that, depending on what you eat, the
colon is being irritated and is spasming (is that a word??).

I had the same problem. I get real bad pain in the lower stomach, right
about the belt line. I had this problem for a long time and it would come
in cycles. I went and got a CT scan and found that the problem I had was a
condition call diverticulitis. I am now on heavy anti-biotics to take care
of the problem. Go to www.webmd.com and take a look at it. But talk to your
doc about. I had a long time in getting this problem resolved until I went
and got the CT scan. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
