Question:
Taste of Chicago Post-op, Go or what?
I'm now post-op 4 mos. The taste opens in June, I'll then be over 6 months out. Now I can walk farther. Should I consider going or not? Has anyone else gone as a post-op? Did you try a bite of this and that or just walk around and sniff? Is it worth the price? — jocelyn (posted on April 22, 2003)

By all means go. Avoid the bbq, eat the grilled and walk, walk, walk. Take
plenty of water with you. Have fun and don't fret it.

It certainly would not be worth the price to me, no more than we can eat
but it is not all about the food. Friends and atmosphere count a lot.

I went to the Taste of Chicago about 5 years ago. There was a cover charge
and then you buy the food from the food vendors just like any other
festival. It was fun but expensive - the cost sure controlled my sampling.
There was a large selection of goodies and I am sure there are plenty of
foods that will be healthy for you. Have fun.
