Question:
Where am I???
Hi All, I had my open rny May 20, 02 started out 394 today 258!!! (That's Great)!!! I started crurves in Nov. since my losses have slowed alot then I've lost 38 lbs!!! I'm very greatful for losing this much! But I know I have alot more to lose! I work out at curves at least 3 per week and I know I don't eat enough some days. I always stat my day with a ESA protein drink w/water as I'm getting ready to leave the house, then at wk. I have 3-4oz. of light yogurt and a ESA protien bar, lunch is some tuna little mayo or chicken and some salad with a sm amount of dressing, afternoon snack of sunflower seeds and maybe a orange, half of apple on the way home from wk. sometimes a pk of peanutbutter crackers or beef jerkey . Another protien shake w/water when I get home from wk. because everyone says to UP protien and water! For dinner I'll make 2 med shrimp with a scoupe of apple sauce or 3 turkey meatballs and maybe 2 s/f popcycles. then at nite I have a few more pops, sometimes popcorn, s/f jello or s/f pudding w/cool whip. My question is some people are telling me I'm in stavation mode and to up my carbs. some say stop going to curves, some say I'm on a plateue how do I know which is happening? I have a LARGE herneria that needs to be removed but I was waiting till summer after I hit a year and Doc said he'll do a TT, but I still have so much to lose!!! And my year is quickly coming to a end, How do I up my carbs and with what? How do I know whats happening??? I hope you can give me some insite on this THANKS ALL!!! Sandi — Sandra B. My advice would be to lower the carbs and up the protein. It works great
for me. I do all protein for a few days and it will break a plateau every
time..Don't stop exercising whatever you do. It may take some time but it
will help you..Good luck..open rny 8/12/02 down 110 lbs..

I agree with the last post. Up your protein, minimize the carbs and eat
only those "good" carbs. No sugar. I read about body building and
to eat high protein every 2 hours so the metabolism is steady, never
starving or never too full. It fools the body into relaxing, as you feed it
evenly it will not go into starvation mode. You don't sound like you're
eating enough. I would stick with Curves, but perhaps walk every other day
as to shake up the body again. It gets comfortable even with exercise.
Variety is good. Best of Luck, Sounds like you're doing great!
