Question:
When you say size 11, 12, or 15, what do you mean?
I am a nursing student and I know quite a bit about the anatomy of the gastrointestinal system. I am,however, a bit boggled by the sizes of the anastamosis (AKA: Stoma). I had an upper GI last week. My outlet is 2.5cm, and my pouch is appx.100cc. In gastric bypass terms, what is a 2.5cm stoma? Thanks in advance!!! — Tina B. (posted on April 14, 2003)

Hi there. 2.5 cm = 1 inch. 100cc = 100 ml = a little more than 1/3 of a
cup but less than 1/2 cup. I dislike the metric system immensely but as a
Canadian I have become used to it.
I have a question for you, where have you seen size 11, 12, or 15 in
relation to stoma or pouch size?? I always thought these were clothing
sizes :)
