When you say size 11, 12, or 15, what do you mean?

I am a nursing student and I know quite a bit about the anatomy of the gastrointestinal system. I am,however, a bit boggled by the sizes of the anastamosis (AKA: Stoma). I had an upper GI last week. My outlet is 2.5cm, and my pouch is appx.100cc. In gastric bypass terms, what is a 2.5cm stoma? Thanks in advance!!!
