Question:
I need help with figuring out the nutrition value in my shake.

I wanted to know if someone could help me with the carbs, protein, sugar, and fat content in my homemade protein drinks? I use 8-10 ounces of fat free skim milk, one scoop of Designer whey protein powder, one half a banana, three frozen strawberries, and one packet of Splenda. I know the milk is 0 fat grams, and 9 protein grams. I also know that the protein powder is 90 grams of fat, and 17.5 grams of protein. The milk is kinda high in carbs and sugar, but I cannot remember the exat numbers. Anyway, I couldn't figure out the 1/2 banana and three strawberries on fitday.com. Can anyone here help?    — Red T. Isn't the milk info on the milk carton?

go to WWW.CALORIEKING.com, I found it more helpful nutritional info wise than fitday, it has everything you need, even fast food. But it will have the strawberries and banana there. The protein would be about 26.5 (the whey and milk) b/c there is no protein in fruit. You can find the sugar on that website.

I use 1/2 a banana in my shakes, and I looked up banana on fitday and then put in .5 next to it in my daily totals and saved the changes. You can also list strawberries in single amounts 1, 3 ,5 strawberries, so it will give you your totals there. I love using fitday because it keeps me honest and I can add any item from the back of a box plus it has most "normal" foods already listed. I love the reports so I can see what my average calories are in a week, what my average protein intake is, etc. Good Luck!
