Question:
I need your advice on what to eat on a Bland Diet. I have Gastritis and will be scope

again in 8 days, and if i don't have the gastritis, then I can have my surgery on the 31st. So see I need your help.. Ive been taking Prevacid for going on 9 weeks now, but 2 weeks ago i still had my ulcer,, My doctor will look again on the 26th, and if i'm clear i'll get my surgery.. I know you will think I am nuts but I had a kitty with gastritis. When it would rear its ugly head, I would immediately put him on a diet of baby rice cereal mixed with diluted meat baby food. And I have used this myself!!! You get some calories and protein and it doesn't upset your tummy too much. Call me crazy.....

When my dog has gastritis, she gets white rice mixed with hamburger...I'd ask your doctor just to make sure, though. Maybe white toast with no butter?

Pediatricians advise the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast). That's no butter on the rice or toast. Not much protein there. If you don't have diarrhea or sensitivity to milk you might add that.
