Question:
Have approval then surgery cancelled...pre-existing clause???
My surgery was approved, I had Pre-admission testing done called for my surgery time the day before and got it , one hour later I got a call saying I saw my surgery on 10/15/01 and got insurance on 10/01/02. So because I'm 15 day short on my one year pre-existing clause they cancelled my surgery and said I can have it I just have to wait a year??? If anyone has any info on the situation please email me. I'm not sure, but I don't think they can extend that pre-existing
conditions clause out another year. Call your state's insurance division
to ask.

Did you have coverage before this one? If you did for 18 months <i
believe> pre existing shouldnt apply. Check into it. Most insurance
companies only look back 3 or 6 months.......therefore going back almost a
year is nuts. Ask to see the policy and see what the pre-x section says.

did anyone smoke before surgery? how long was it before you stopped
completely? I stopped smoking on January 7th 2003. I still want a
cigarette, but I haven't broken down yet. Everyone at the hospital
continuously ask me did I stop smoking yet. It is driving me crazy because
I truely have stopped, but I want a cigarette!
