Question:
Anyone in my area had psych eval?

Has anyone in the KC, Lawrence, Topeka area been to a psychiatrist for thier eval? If so, who did you go to? I am trying to make an appoinment, but so far, I can only get into one doc on the 12th of March, which I don't want to wait that long to get approved by insurance, and then wait another 2 months. can anyone help?    — Kylie E. I'm in KC and the best I can do for you is not refer you to mine. I was seeing Dr. Judith Martin and it took forever to get the eval. I thought it would be a slam dunk since I had been seeing her for about a year prior. She didn't approve and I no longer see her. If you don't mind coming to KC you might try the Eating disorders clinic 816-942-1811. They are on Red Bridge Road near Holmes (South KC). I see Carla O'Connor but she is a social worker not a medical doctor which my insurance insisted it had to be (a medical doc). I have continued to see Carla to help me work on the emotional issues post op and my continueing eating problems. She has Saturday hours. July 10 down 86 pounds and holding (13 more and I'm no longer morbidly obese).
